Traditional Art

At the creative core of our studio is Traditional Art. In our opinion, the study and practice of art principles, such as; composition, color theory, contrast and balance is the purest form of art in a digital world. It’s real, it’s tangible and evokes emotion. An art piece can hold great value and increase over time.

There are so many artists who inspire us. From Jeff Koonz, Andy Warhol, and Frida Kahlo to Michael Angelo and Robert Rauschenberg. Each artist has an individual vision and technique. Our goal is to create something unique and special.

Mendoza Art Studio is accepting commissions. Perhaps, your idea is a portrait of a family member or maybe an art piece for your living space that’s unique and reflects your taste. We’ll listen to your idea and provide you with a honest evaluation. Let’s look at some the different artistic mediums we work with.

DRAWING

Drawing is a very underestimated skill and provides great advantages to an artist. For a example, a logo design must first be conceptualized using thumbnails (simple small sketches) and in film, drawing is used for storyboards as you can see by the examples shown here.

PAINTING

We work with two forms of paint: Acrylic and Watercolor; and at times, a combination of the two. Both mediums require a certain skill level in order to attain the results you see here.

Acrylic paint is versatile, easy to use and fast drying. It can be used on canvas, wood or plastic.

Watercolor is a beautiful and gentle method that adds elegance to a scene or portrait and makes the simplest subject appear like a genuine piece of art.

ILLUSTRATION

Illustrations can be utilized for a number or things. They're useful when trying to better convey an idea, project plan, design or a structure. Together, we can better illustrate your idea to clients, customers or for your own project.

CRAFTING

Here at Mendoza Art Studio we love to create and build things. We're obsessed with DIY projects and never shy away from a challenge. We can help plan and design your idea. Then, with the help of our contruction team, bring it to life. Here are exampels of some of our projects.
